I think there's only one reason OV doesn't end up breaking Gretzky's record... and it's Covid. Sadly. Ruined the chance at that.

Ovi might sign that low if he’s guaranteed to play with McDavid every game and that’s the only reason he does it. Realistically he’s going to get and fully deserves 8million

He missed like 20 games because of it, and just got nearly a years rest, that itself may have added a year or 2 to his career

Keep Kassian, stay far away from Barrie since you have better in Klefbom, and pay Ovi what he is worth. Done. Yeah and sign Larsson cheap or let him walk.

he has 4 years to score 189 goals. Hes averaging 50 goals a year.... its def possible. even if he plays till hes 40 thats 5 years thats 37 goals a year... seems possible

Washington will have pretty solid center depth also for the foreseeable future
