Hickey deal makes no sense. Isles only saving less than 200k by retaining salary in that deal as Hickey’s cap hit is only 1.425M if loaned to Bridgeport.

Also if Toews signed for 4.1 over 4 I think Isles could get Pulock for 4.5 over 2.

Everything else looks good. NJ might not want to take on salary but a 2nd to take Leo is fair.

Walking pulock to UFA is not smart. He’s gone in 2 years if that’s the case.

The hickey deal isn’t much different from burying him we just get a pick without giving anything up. No way pulock is signing for 4.5 he’s a #1 and toews is a second pairing guy.

I don’t think Hickey has trade value at this point. I would rather have him for depth but splitting hairs tbh.

Also a 2 year bridge deal for an RFA always has low AAV historically. Headman signed for 4m per over 5 years. Parayko got 5.5m over 5 years. Carlson got 4 per over 6 years. RFA deals are always low value for D men. 4.5 over 2 is more than fair.
