What a roster this could have been.. thanks for screwing the team jimmy.

Trade 1: Same deal as Avs offered the Islanders.
Trade 2: Tampa is in cap hell.. Johnson passed through waivers so the league views him as a cap dump.. in order to off load him they have to package Cernak, but get two NHL ready dman on cheap contracts a forward prospect and a pick.
Trade 3: Should have resigned Stetcher at that price
Trade 4: Should have signed Wallmark.

Forwards:
1st line: Absolute Snipe Shows. Good luck goalies
2nd line: Fast good defensive line who puts up a ton of points.
3rd line: Pearson contributes some defensive reliability to the two kids
4th line: Shut down/Hard to play against

Side note: If Gaudette hasn’t picked up their game defensively.. Slide Johnson down to 3C, Pearson moves up to 2LW and Hoffman moves to 2RW, Miller to 1LW reuniting the lotto line. Or give Wallmark a shot at 3C

Defence
Hughes gets a younger, faster and more physical Chris Tanev mode to play with.
Toews and Schmidt are transitional monsters and would dominate puck possession
Edler and Stetcher would excel in a 3rd pairing role against weaker competition
Goalies: Only question mark to me.. Does Demko take the next step? Does Holtby regain his form under Ian Clark. I think one of the two could happen. Not to mention playing behind an elite d
