I think so too, but Canucks fans really like him and he'll likely be better than Holtby short term so I brought him back.

Maybe. I actually don’t mind Holtby he started to regress after his goalie coach, one of the best BTW. Canucks goalie is considered one of the top coaches too. Holtby prime candidate to rebound.

But ya in a perfect world with all those **** contracts gone and no expansion draft, Markstrom would of stayed.

Signing markstrom on a 6 year 6 million dollar deal is a bad signing considering he is already 30 years old. Calgary signed him on this contract because they were desperate for a good goaltender. Letting markstrom walk was the canucks best move of the offseason as it let them get holtby who will be put up in the expansion draft to protect demko
The virtanen for austin wagner trade could happen.
Alex pietrangelo is another bad signing as he is getting paid 8.9 million dollars a year until he is 37
Toffolis deal was good
