I dont mind the trade but I doubt BOS would agree to that

Josh Anderson is nowhere close to being NHL quality. Hes probably the very last D man on the Avs depth chart in terms of players under contract

Fair enough, Timmins up or maybe MacDonald as the spare? I could see BOS wanting to shed those 2 dumps for a solid D and signing Haula, Granlund...

If BOS is willing then I think the Avs accept that

I think Timmins, Byram, Gilbert, and MacDonald all would have a shot in this scenario, depending on who has the best training camp

The trade really doesnt do much for B's in my opinion. LHD is complicated due to expansion.

I remember reading somewhere that COL was going to let the kids simmer again which is wise, Bowen, Timmins and Anderson. I figured Gilbert and MacDonald can play up?

I figured shedding those 2 near dump Fs to sign say Haula, Granlund, AA to the new covid NHL short term deal would be wise. Cole would be a solid fill in for B's and could be resigned on the cheap possibly. Seattle would not select Cole.

I mean they're RFAs and I think theyd rather keep Kase, and try out some young guys on the left side. If it becomes a problem they will address it. I dont think they would want Cole's contract either, most teams are looking to be as flexible as possible between flat cap and expansion. Also Cole's cap hit is 4.25, Ritchie is just under 1.5, and Kase is 2.6. The B's lose money on this deal and now have two holes in the lineup they need to fill with free agency or in Ritchie's case in house. So its not really cost efficient in the short term, depending on how they play it

Anderson isn’t even a regular in the AHL. I think things to keep in mind with what COL does with their defensive prospects particularly Byram, start time and length of season, and health of in particular EJ. Byram will get his 9 game audition and if he plays his way into the top 6 he stays if he is borderline 6 7th he gets another year in the WHL. The length of the season might impact the decision with him as well unless in that 9 game audition he plays his way into the top 4 because of the value of his elc down the line.
