Tampa declines even though value is in their favor. They need the cap.

ikr, he literally traded a top line player for draft picks and a prospect - who are the leafs possibly gonna get for $5M cap space that can replace nylander lmfao

Tampa can't even do this trade even if they want to, because they don't have cap.

No one even close to as good.

Hoffman might be the only guy I can think of. but even then... Nylander, if he can keep up his play from last year and maybe even improve, is on an absolute steal of a contract.

I’m also more than certain if Nylander were to be traded, it would be a top RHD coming back, someone better than Pesce. because those trades were annoying.

Apparently that is a trigger for me 😂

thing is with Hoffman, he didn't even score 30 goals until he was 29 years old, unless you count when he was 26-27 and had high 20s in like 75-79gp

Nylander had 31 goals in 70gp as a 23 year old, with 30 assists to go with them. Nylander will probably end up being a better player than Hoffman is, and we've got him till he's 28.

After Keefe took over, willy was scoring at a 41 goal pace flushed cheeks

exactly.

I am pretty confident in this team we have right now. And with our, imo, improved coaching staff... i think we’ll be good this year. maybe not a cup, idk if we’re that good yet. but hopefully at least a second round 😂

What was the point of this?

And Tampa of all teams that needs to shed approx. $10M in order to sign their RFAs, how do they afford Nylander?

Also, why would Petan and Malgin be playing ahead of Thornton, Barabanov, Anderson, Robertson, etc?
