I wasn’t aware at all Poulin played the right side. Of course I knew he was skilled enough to make the switch, but most good, really good players don’t play their weak side. They don’t have too. They were always the best player on their team and were always on their strong side and that’s what they got used to and are comfortable with.

Now that I’m aware he is comfortable on the RW and the pens won’t have to change up a top prospects game and switch it up on the fly against NHL talent. I love the idea of letting him play this year!!

If he can play next year and have an impact on a bottom 6, he would boost this team for sure.

Such a terrific player!

That’s awesome!! I’m still not interested in bring up a top prospect and putting him on his weak side where he’s uncomfortable and ruin his development and confidence, just b/c that’s where the pens are weak and where we need him. But if he’s comfortable there and plays the RW as well as the LW. Hey, let him play!! Give him the fair shot and keep him there the whole year!! Let him play in and out of slumps and make him ready!! It still scares me alittle though with a top prospect, not to have him on his strong side..lol. But hey, we definitely could use him!!

It definitely does scare me looking down that right ride and seeing the only highlighted side of the name box on the left side is our top prospect..lol.

A lot is wrong in my opinion..lol.

We won’t trade Pettersson unless we get a really good offer at a weak part of our team. And probably a prospect too!! He is 24 years old, just signed long term and a proven top 4 defender on a play-off team. Plays 20 plus minutes a night.

We won’t trade Blueger for the same reasons!! Except Blueger just turned 26 and we will sign him long term this offseason!!

Yep, that’s what I thought!! Just imaginary teams that are better!! Just 5th place cause it sounds cool, you don’t have any actually teams that you think or reason why they will finish ahead of the Pens?? Just hating to hate!!

IDK but I'd sure like to see it...even for a 9 game sample and if it doesn't work, send him back to the Q. he didn't look out of place in the scrimmage in the return to play... he's gotten bigger, stronger, and faster. I'd love to see it. if he could come in and put up 10-15 goals and just break even in corsi and maybe even help make a decent 3rd line, then it could have huge benefits...

Ya, I’m excited to see him. I hope fans are allowed, by the time his 1st game comes around!! We haven’t had a top 50 prospect in a while..lol. The last big prospects we had were Beau Bennett, D.Pouliot, Olli Maata maybe Sprong. ZAR was highly touted but he was a college FA signing, like Marino and Maniscalco. Obviously Kappy, but he was in Toronto’s system more than ours. I’m excited to see him play!!

All I'm saying is JR just keeps doubling down. Each time he does the eventual collapse is going to get bigger and uglier. See: San Jose

We don’t have the huge contracts SanJose has. I would rather our GM go for it and trade draft picks, prospects and assets and go for it every year. And try to get over the hump. Than just be a playy-off team and bounced in the 1st round every year.

Who’s better than us?? Phily?? The Caps?? Like I said, even if you say those two teams are, it’s still gonna be competitive with us and them, it always is. But IMO, we have the better team than the Caps and Phily!! It’s not gonna be Carolina?? It’s not the Rangers?? it’s not the Devils?? It’s not the Isles?? It’s not Columbus?? So 5th place?? I don’t see how.

The Isles absolutely could be considering how they b1tch slapped y'all in the playoffs a year or 2 back. The Rangers and Carolina could conceivably be better as well with younger and deeper teams. Philly is better, and that's not an argument. Penguins aren't cup contenders anymore. I thought losing to a 12 seed in 4 games would make that more obvious yet here we are. Now the Penguins are low on high draft picks and young players

Lol. 32 and 33 years old is ancient I guess. Even though, Prime is 24-32 years old. And an athletes Peak physically is 25 years old. But I guess all these teams are magically gonna jump up this year and be better. Good luck!! Put a bet on that!! I’m sure you’ll get great odds!! Cause it’s not gonna happen!! You’re telling yourself a fairy tale.

The Isles?? Lol. They still have Boychuk’s and Ladd’s contracts that are ruining their team!! They can’t even sign Barzal?? Even with him. Our top 6 and top 2 D pairing are so superior!! And their bottom 6 isn’t much better either, Komorov and Clutterbuck and Ladd arnt good and never were!! Good luck with the Isles. They were 7th place last year, just ahead of the Rangers and the Devils.

I like Carolina. I think they have a decent team. But they arnt better than the Pens!! Don’t have the experience or the star power we have. And their goalie situation is rough.

And Phily being better than us is debatable. It’s always competitive and they can never beat us in the playoffs. Good luck again, I’ll take the Pens!!
