The Ducks were outstanding this year finishing as the second seed in the Pacific and some people favorites to win the Cup. They’re blockbuster free agent signing P.K Subban was excellent, with 50+ points and the most assists on the team. He finished top 10 of all defenseman in the league. Jamie Drysdale had an excellent third year finishing with around 40 points in his 3rd year. Goalies held strong again with Gibson finishing second this time in Vezina voting. Their rookies, Chase de Leo, and Trevor Zegras each had 25 points in limited playing time. Henrique had another 30+ goal season and a lot of people had 50+ points this year. Henrique, Schwartz, Rakell, Subban, Granlund, and Steel with Silverburg at 45 points and 20 goals. They’re newly acquired Captain, PK Subban led them to the final 4 teams. Why did you over pay each fa so much

I’m gonna tackle this and be very picky. So sorry in advance:

1) Schwartz will stay with St Louis
2) Subban for 8mil??? Max he gets is 4 mil
3) Milano will more likely be taken than Jones if that trade is post expansion
4) where’s Manson?
5) Guhle isn’t very good rn
6) Lundestrom and Comtois would switch positions
7) Getzlaf??
8) De Leo is an AHLer
9) why would you trade for Greenway if you don’t even play him

I was trying to be realistic like with Subban's personality, he's gonna want at least 6 mil at most. He was the best defenseman out there in FA and I really wanted him. I did overpay but It didn't matter too much. Who else did I overpay?

You have to look at all 3 parts. Guhle is now in his 3rd year after being drafted. Greenway was good last year but I couldn't bring him back. De Leo is an AHLer but since you can't put in rookies, I acted like he was a top 5 pick so we can tank first year. Getzlaf is old. Also, I don't want to pay Manson 5.5 because he's not worth it. Subban was an overpay but we need an RD1 so I went out and got him. No way he is saying no to that.

Who else did I overpay. It all depends on how they've done but Schwartz might have been an overpay but I think the rest are fine.

Schwartz gets 5 mil max
Grandlund gets 3 max
And vatrano gets 1.5 max

I think you did a pretty good job. My suggestion would be Subban for somewhere between 5.5M to 6.5M, and you get a better backup. In a free agent class with amazing goalies like MIchael Hutchinson, i think you could do better
