If what you're trying to say is that Rutherford is like Chiarelli I 100% agree!!!

The guy litterally trades away 1sts like they mean nothing. They already have one of the worst prospect pools and trading away those 1sts made it worse

Not to mention some of his trades have been questionable

Not nearly as bad as Chiarelli.

Chiarelli would've traded Crosby and Malkin to Detroit for Nielsen and Filppula.

Last year he traded for Marino!! Or Marino’s rights!!

You have to judge someone’s whole body of work though. He’s not an athlete. It’s not like he losses the knowledge and the ability to evaluate talent.

I'm just saying he's gradually getting worse as a GM (he not as bad as Chiarelli thats for sure, lol)

His biggest problem is the offseason honestly.
If someone could get him the hell away from Free agency where every year it's a cluster F, we'd be in much better shape.

But I think it's pretty clear he is not the guy to lead the rebuild when the tires come off.

Again, last year he traded for Marino rights. Turned out good!! Signed OConnor and Mainiscalco and Cam Lee. I think he can still evaluate talent pretty well.

And I’ll take Kappy the next 3-4 years over Amirov and Hallander. Hollander is a “C+” prospect. “b-“ at best. He’s has a 3c or 3rd line LW ceiling. He’s gonna be a bottom 6. Wasn’t a big part of our future.

And Toronto had two other offers for Kappy. Both were 1st round picks. One was The NJD and was offering one of their 1st round picks. their 18th pick I believe, 18 or 19, I can’t remember .And another team was offering a 1st and a prospect. I forget which team. That information is out there though. JR had to add Hallander. Who Toronto liked cause they were gonna draft him or Sean Druzi in the 2nd round. They took Druzi, but still keep their eye on Hallander and his progress. It’s why they accepted our deal. The higher pick and a prospect they were interest in.

JR is very hot and cold, but he’s no where near that level of bad...

Also he doesn’t give a crap about 1sts, but when ur window is closing why would you.

I think his evaluation of D is suspect, but with Martin and Gonch out maybe things change. They did buy out JJ, and don’t say Ceci is the same Bc....totally different role/contract/usage.
