Ya Tavares is good but he's not a God he's really saving that team on his own. Where is the Islanders in the standing oh ya last in the East. New York Islanders really need to retool firing Snow for starters would probably help.

That trade might be a bit low but if Hall is worth one player. If Seguin is worth two prospect and a veteran. Yakupov a 3rd and a East coast player. Tavares can't be worth much more than that. I think Islanders need to retool big time coaching change will probably come first.

Plakanec is an albatross. That trade is awful. Tavares equals the likes of Hedman, Stamkos. Not good. Rethink it.

Okay, let's just get this out of the way; in no way shape or form would the Islanders want a 34-year-old 2C, a decent goalie and a 2nd for a generational player. Now that we got that out of the way... lol @ "a bit low", (see the first part). Hall and Tavares are completely different, so don't compare them. And that trade was need for need, the Isles DON'T need Plekanec. Seguin got traded before he truly broke out so fault Chiarelli on that one. Yakupov's got potential just doesn't know how to unlock it first so no real value for that there. FYI, Tavares to the Isles is what Price is to the Habs. So yeah he's not worth that much.

Get real a 34 year old Plekanec+Fucale for John Tavares would never happen in a million years. Garth Snow would be fired if he made this trade. This doesn't help the Islanders in the least.
