Not how the taxi squad works. only allowed a contract up to 1.3(the AHL bury number) on it. Treat it like sending the deal to the AHL. Or atleast thats what Friedman said on podcast

I figured there would be something like that, didn’t here any thing about it yet. Good news though, Tampa is going to have to squirm lol.

Friedman said thats the leading idea on 31 thoughts a few days ago. Not confirmed yet though

They won't be able to do that which is the right thing.

The expectation is no. The taxi squad, for cap purposes, is going to be no different than the AHL in any normal year. If a player doesn’t have a no-move clause, they can be sent to taxi squad or AHL, but all of their cap hit minus $1.075 million would count against it.

They won’t, defeats the entire purpose of a hard salary cap. This proposal would be like the NBA structure some what.

Nothing solid yet. I would think they not get the same relief as burying them.

Would defeat the entire purpose of a revenue share if they allowed non injured players to count towards a teams payroll bank.
