Russell is a much better third pairing defender than koekkoek. it is one thing to criticize the 4 million/year contract, but Russell is a legit 3rd Pairing NHL defender who has proven himself at every stage and is damn near 1000 games in the NHL. Koekkoek has still yet to prove that he is a NHL defencemen.
