Description

Tampa still has work to do, because even with Kucherov on LTIR they can not sign Cirelli before season starts. A team may go over the cap by 10%, which is 89650000 and at present the Lightning stand at 88391666 leaving on 1258334 to sign Cirelli, which he won't sign. They will need to either demote a player who is waiver exempt or trade a player to free up more cap space. They will use Kucherov's 9.5 million to bring there cap number down but that can only but because it will be done before the season they can only use 8.15 of his cap hit. If they could become cap compliant before the season and then put Kucherov's deal on LTIR after day one of the season they then could use his full cap hot all season long.

JBB still has his work cut out to try and solve his cap issues.
