Roslovic Bennett Swap

Team Explanation
I've seen quite a few Roslovic trade proposals over the last 24 hours and almost all of them have been extremely fair to both teams. I think there is a lot of options out there but my personal choice would be swapping Roslovic for Bennett. Both could use a change of scenery, both are former 1st round picks and have similar point totals per year. I do think that Roslovic has a higher upside, but Bennett would be a better fit for the Jets.

*Perfetti & Heinola will be moved from the Taxi Squad once their subsequent seasons start (AHL/OHL or other). Toninato & Nogier would be my predictions to replace them if we want a full 6 man taxi squad.

Same here and I genuinely think this trade makes the most sense for both teams involved. I would be 100% happy with this.

I don't think the deal makes any sense for Winnipeg. Calgary likely does it in a heartbeat. But the Jets have already said their price is a d-man. Getting Bennett doesn't solve anything. They have similar, better players to Bennett in Lowry and Copp. Not to mention they have Thompson to play a physical role (not a better player but plays the same role).

For that reason, I don't think Winnipeg even entertains this idea for a second.

Edit: maybe a deal involving Roslovic for Kylington would make more sense for both sides

I totally see your point about targeting a D in return. I've seen so many articles stating that is what they were looking for but in my mind, that creates such a log jam. Unless it is a bona fide Top 4 D then I personally don't think it makes sense. We have guys like Forbort, Beaulieu, Poolman, Niku, Samberg, Heinola & Sbisa fighting for 3 spots. Adding a guy who's on the same level as Poolman/Beaulieu/Forbort just doesn't make sense in my mind. Again, I totally get where you're coming from, I just hope that if they do trade for a D, it's a proven Top 4 guy.

Maybe Copp is a bit better offensively them Bennett but there's no way Lowry and Copp are better players then Bennett.

Jets don't need Kylington, have too many LHD as it is.

This would make for a nasty 3rd line, also like your depth acquisitions.
