Giving up a first round pick and two decent bottom 6 guys for d man that isnt much better than Holl isn't too smart i would think.

Both of those trades are horrible for the leafs. Holl is hardly worse then Savard and he's signed for the next three years.

TOR
Paquette, Cédric
OTT
Holl, Justin

Ottawa says thank-you

I know he has three years on his contract, but Holl is easily worth the $2MM

Savard is a Muzzin on the right side. I'm sure you were complaining when we gave up more quality asset's for Muzzin.

To Kings: Carl Grundstrom, Sean Durzi, and a 2019 First Round Pick
To Leafs: Muzzin

Savard's great.

People are forgetting that we gave up more quality asset's for Muzzin, then I am for Savard. We need Savard more than we need Holl and if we can get a contract extension, I would protect him over Dermott and Kerfoot.

Paquette replaces Vesey, a proven winner with cup experience. In terms of Holl, he is replaceable, especially for a guy like Savard. Outside of Muzzin, Holl is not good that people make him out to be

I just personally think that Savard isn't a huge upgrade over Holl and for that price.

Savard is exactly what Muzzin is but on the right side. How do you not want that and his beard? What has Holl proven outside of Muzzin?

Yeah I get your point, Holl is definitely 3rd pairing, but a decent one well worth $2MM imo. Don’t undersell him too much or the Sens won’t want him, lol.
