Assuming the maximum bonuses get pro-rated as they are expected to, the player bonuses will be $6.872M instead of $10.3625M

The Rangers would only have to spend $750k and change maximum for bonuses this year, as opposed to $4M+ in 2021 and potentially having to carry dead money into the 2021-22 season.

Wait, where did you hear about bonus proration? And if they were prorated, wouldn’t it be the requirements and not the cap hits?

And yes it would be the requirements. It's just that the Rangers are above the $6.115M threshold meaning it affects our salary cap

This looks great! I am so hyped for this year. If Miller is performing how DQ and JG are saying he is, I’d say that all we need now is a RD to pair with Miller and we’re good.

As an aside, this Rangers team is looking pretty good. I’m glad the habs don’t have to compete with them for a playoff spot anymore. 😜
