CGY BLOCKBUSTER!!!

Created by: jamesvanhockey
Team: 2016-17 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Nov. 30, 2016
Published: Nov. 30, 2016
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Ok highly unlikely yes but whatever i think this would address areas of weakness for both teams.

Trade Break-down:

Tkachuk=Nylander
Different kind of players but equal value IMO. Nylander has more skill but Tkachuk plays a grittier style.

Elliott=Enroth, Holland
Elliott has not been good and if they resign him they need to give St Louis another 3rd. So they probably trade him. Enroth is about equal and Holland should add some offence.

Hamilton=Carrick, Leipsic
Hamilton value is low right now with subpar play and a big contract. Sell high on Carrick and Leipsic. Maybe add like a 2nd if this isn't quite enough. Also would rather keep him but if they insisted it be Kapenen instead of Leipsic, I'd be alright with that as well.

Can't imagine both teams wanting to trade "their guys" Tzachuk and Nylander.
Why do so many GMs want to dump Hamilton and the Leafs? That trade I betcha Flame fans are going nuts saying it's unfair. As a Leaf supporter, I would rather keep Carrick and with that 5m saved spend in another Dman.
Hamilton you say is "low value now". Maybe it could get lower if he isn't really a 5.75m player and is projected as never being one. We will have a more definitive answer in four years.

I think Nylander has a higher ceiling, I'd keep him. I also don't agree with trading prospects who are doing everything right since being drafted for another prospect

Nylander is gonna get a hat trick every time he faces the leafs if a deal like this happends, would be a huge mistake to get rid of him.

As silly as it is for the Leafs to trade Nylander, why would trade him for an overpriced Hamilton. Hamilton isn't needed in Toronto, suggest Hamilton fans try one of 29 teams....Leafs and the Pens seem to the ONLY trading partners.....Stupid.
