Description

I did this draft a few weeks ago basing much of it on who I think will realistically be exposed. I think the other 30 clubs are going to find ways to expose only the contracts/players they don't want. Vegas will get a star or 2 possibly, but it will mostly be middle of the road guys, imo. Tried to balance contracts to fit under the $73m cap and above $48.3m floor. I've heard Vegas really wants to lean towards young guys, so I presume many teams will opt to protect their young guys over some vets. As note about Bobby Ryan: CF says he has a NMC but he was not listed on the NHL's "exempt" list, so I assume he is exposable.

Not bad...a couple of questionable picks... Muzzin, Eakin & Ryan all stay... Cizikas, Danko, Jarnkrok and pouliot are toss ups

Unless Minnesota chooses to protect 4 d-men you gotta think LV will take one. They are the best defensive team in the league, and they have 5 guys signed to 4 good contracts (Suter's is questionable). I think they also have to have a certain amount of contracts in place going into next season from their selection.

I think we're going to see a lot of trades prior to the expansion draft. I think teams like Minny would trade assets rather than lose them for nothing.
