Why would Colorado do this? They are getting not near enough to trade Landeskog

Colorado is contending, why would they trade away Landeskog?

if nathan mackinnon, cale makar, andre burakovsky, phillip grubauer, nazem kadri, and 90% of the rest of the team were thrown in prison, and landeskog was the ONLY one left, i think colorado might do it.

they aren't going to trade away their captain for someone who's not helped a team to the playoffs since he played for the islanders, and even then, it was tavares doing the legwork.
