Any team could have had him for free. The rangers are going to have to pay to get rid of him.

Take on a bad contract, add a draft pick, that sort of thing.

the sens need just a few missing pieces to make a run, and deangelo is not one of those pieces.

value wise, i think this trade works (deangelo notwithstanding), but i would hate to see galchenyuk on the move again.

the rangers are going to have to give up WAY more than a 4th-rounder and a perpetually middling goalie to even think about getting rid of deangelo.

ya but the reason why no one took hi is cause of his contract he is still a very skilled d-man

His contract is only part of it. His character is the other part.

No question his skill is there but nobody wants him, including his own. So if a team has to take your problem, you have to pay them to do it.
