Debrusk is not a MAJOR piece. He is a complimentary piece. Beecher is an unknown and the 1st is late. A very good young defensemen, a center prospect, a pick and a middle 6 winger is reasonable for a 25 year old top 5 center under contract for 5 years

Debrusk is a major piece. He is a top 6 Player, still only 24 and if he gets consistant he can be the 1st line or elite guy he was drafted to be at 14th overall
Notice how I didnt even mention beecher cuz im tryna undervalue the bruins guys lol
    Top 5 Center is incorrect.
"Ver good" is incorrect. its top 5 RHD or top 10 Dman, elite. You just wanna keep undervaluing all the bruins guys. lmaoooo

Since the lockout, here are the number one d men that have won a cup:
    Hedman
    Petro
    Carlson
    Letting (3)
    Keith (3)
    Doughty (2)
    Chara
    Lidstrom
    Pronger
You got an argument with Carolina, but sheesh.

Letang had, you know, crosby and malkin
hedman is very good, but had point/cirelli (selke votes) and a guy named kucherov
carlson had backstrom/kuznetsov and a guy named ovechkin
doughty had kopitar and to a lesser extent carter
lidstrom had a guy named datsyuk
keith had toews and a guy named kane.
    petro had oreilly etc.
chara had bergeron and to a lesser extent krejci.

ill take the hall of fame forwards over a mostly very good list with some hall of fame defensemen.

    I'm not undervaluing anyone.

Debrusk is the same age as Eichel. I guess i can play the "if eichel plays on a more complete team like boston he will have 110 points instead of 80 points" argument LMAO.

I'm not undervaluing anyone. I'm offering Jack Eichel for an unknown prospect, a last 1st, a middle 6 forward (thats what he is) who needs a new contract and a very good young defensemen who also needs a new contract.

You can find examples of less than stellar center depth though.

Also, don’t put datsyuk and kopitar in the same sentence as lidstrom and doughty. Hedman is by far and away the lightnings best player. Bergeron was a 57 point center (third liner to start the season) when Chara was unstoppable on the bruins cup run.

Ya, you need a real good top line center. Your third line center can’t be a nobody. All evidence points to their being at most 10 d men in the league that can call themselves true all situation number ones, and if you don’t have one, you might as well not even show up. You’re likely not winning the trophy without one.

It certainly isn’t fury. By no means am i saying the bruins are getting ripped off here. I would probably say this favors the bruins in terms of value. I just think the way the bruins build their teams, they need the d man, and it’s something that’s way harder to find.

Well, we are on page 2. looks like i made quite an interesting trade proposal.

Buffalo fans will light the arena on fire if we trade eichel to boston.

As often happens, the thread has been hijacked to d men vs centers.

    That right there!
"an unknown prospect", NO! We know Studnicka is a top 6 prospect, thats been said for about a year and a half now.
"middle 6 forward" NO! Debrusk is a top 6 guy, that is what he is. And he can get better still, just watch him play please.
"very good young defensemen" again this is just a framing issue. You keep framing it like its just another very good young dman, thats not what this is. Carlo is a very good young dman. Colton Parayko is a very good young dman. McAvoy is an Elite dman, still young, and is going to be a top 5 RHD in the league for years to come.

I agree that Eichel could put up 110 on a good team (which is why i hate when leafs fans come here and say "Ahahahahah Matthews is clearly better", no the **** he isnt lmao
But if they need to trade him, it will come at a SLIGHT discount, and the HAUL that you offered from the bruins is not gonna happen.

Its that simple man lmao. Stop undervaluing the bruins guys (which as I have showed you, you are doing), and be real about it man. Bruins arent doing that, obviously.

you havent showed me anything. you have repeated your opinion over again. even if debrusk turns out to be a 2nd liner..guess, what? that is middle 6. John Beecher is a sophomore and still is only a .5 ppg player in college, its "unknown" if his draft pedigree (2nd last pick of the 1st round) will turn into a useful nhl player.

Damn dude, you just wont listen and learn lmao
well all you need to know then is that the bruins find that trade insulting and they reject without a doubt.

Lmao idk man i love helping people learn. If people all would help and eachtother and listen to eachother rather than arguing and ignoring people when they provide facts, this place would be a lot better overall

I disagree. I think having elite play down the middle does that much more so. But oh well

This isn't going to age well for you.

If having centers is the most important why didn't you win anything with Eichel and O'Rielly?

McAcoy and Eichel are tied for pts. awesome face
