Too much tied up in net for no real reason. Leafs seem to like Andersen so find a cheap young backup who can play 20-25 max.

No way is Shattenkirk signing long term with Toronto, He wants to play in America in the Northeast good luck convincing him other wise.

Ya what is up with people making Leafs AGM's giving backup goaltenders and nearly retired players like Higgins millions of dollars? Ramo for under a million, and if you want to take flyers on aging veterans to trade for picks make them take an actual prove it (750k-1.25m)

That's a waste of money for Elliot. Why overpay (meaning more than anyone) for Shattenkirk why he really doesn't want be a Leaf. IMO Hyman and Brown are signing for bigger money and term.
There will be "lots" of Dman and goalies available to sign, or acquire via trade come summer, without overpaying.
