Not sure about giving up Tippett, but if you replace him with Borgstrom there, it's a done deal

Hall won’t get that much as a rental imo. Maybe the 2022 1st is only if he resigns? Also, I think E Staal can get a 1st or two 2nd’s.

I would argue that quite a few of the defensemen on your roster are Waiver Pickups, they are decent depth options yes, but I dont think they are regulars, If your asked me adding in a better defensement for the remainder of the year really isnt a bad idea

Hmm probably would have to up the pick to conditional pick that could get us a 2nd, as Borgstrom is a much lesser prospect imo

in a shortened season, I dont see a lot of high picks being thrown around for players. Hall isnt commanding that much.

It's not a retool if you are acquiring picks and prospects. A retool is trading NHL players for NHL players to shake up the roster

My point is why not do both? Bring in young prospects, and Also reaquire or aquire people of same or better caliber

Then you are competitive next year with some FA's on shorter term deals well your young guys develop and push the vets out, It would make the system more competitive and stronger
