He is definetely an upgrade over a couple of those guys. Vesey is only good for pond hockey games, Barabanov hasnt looked great. He's on even terms with vesey but hes not better than petan

But Barabanov has very good potential to be fair. Use him as trade bait and maybe shop him and add him as a sweetner to maybe get bennet?

Nothing would suggest hes better than Vesey. Points, underlying numbers, usage anywhere, etc.
