Passs well trade trouba for Henrique and a pick tho

Trouba's got a full NTC clause for the next four years. Henrique is very good on faceoffs. Also his contract term will allow the Rangers centers to transition from Zibanejad and Strome for this season and next season to Chytil, Henrique, and the developing centers in the prospect pipeline.

Henrique is a fringe 2C and a good 3C and we can’t take on his salary

This season and next season we can take on Henrique's salary. The following (third) season (having Henrique for two more years) and Chytil allows the Rangers to let Zibanejad and Strome walk away as UFA's and not resign them to long term contracts starting at age 29.

Then in years three and four of Henrique's contract the young centers in the system should start to make their way to the NHL. Just seems like the perfect term contract to transition to the young centers in the system rather than signing Zibanejad and Strome long term. As well as not having to trade all sorts of prospects for Eichel or Barkov etc.

Don't see NYR putting in a claim & taking that whole cap hit but, if he clears, a swap for Tony DeAngelo maybe? ANA retains $1,025,000 ?
Trouba on LTIR is short term solution & would effect the performance bonus situation as i am understanding it.

Great point! Instead of putting Trouba on LTI the Rangers would have to send Johnson or Hajek to the taxi squad, as well as Di Giuseppe - who hopefully won't get claimed off waivers. Would really put the Rangers up against the cap though.
