Description
Having fun sending Duchene to the Red Wings and other such jettisons.

For me, there are too many core players who hurt the team just as much as they help. Everyone like to point to Duchene and Landeskog's offense; what about their defense and attitude? Duchene isn't a 200 ft player, he can never find linemates to gel with, he cares too much about 30 goals than winning games. I'm done with him. Landeskog takes too many lazy penalties, for which he frequently gets suspended. Maybe he was thrust into the captain's role too early, but it's clear he can't lead this team. He's already kind of a D-bag, let him do that on a team where it's encouraged. Cut out the core who is more used to losing and complaining than trying to win as a team.

I think your trades are overvaluing the Av players. The Ducks trade is not going to happen and the Wings trade is laughable. Why would the Wings give up two cost controlled players they are high on for Duchene?

Wings get rid of Helm, who is overpaid and for too many years. As for the prospects, you see with a lot of clubs who have aging stars, they need to at least be able to compete for a playoff spot. So it's not outrageous to think the Wings mortgage some of their future for right now. Svechnikov is certainly a top prospect, but Mantha has been up and down. More than anything, I just like sending Duchene to a team he would hate to play for!

Why you need a wild Carl? When I saw the title of the exchange, I decided that it was an exchange of Duchenne in Minnesota, but no, we are talking about draining timber
