The untouchable prospects for the rangers are laf, kakko, fox and Miller.
If you get one of them I’ll be surprised, two is completely doubtful.
“Oh but your giving us your fifth best prospect at best then” — our fifth best prospect (Lundkvist) is better than many teams top prospect or would be their second best prospect

But yeah even if they do trade two of the untouchables, there is no way they’ll trade a likely top 5 pick this year, and give an unconditional 1st in 2022.

No team will completely empty the cupboard for eichel. It’s not gonna happen. If that means he putters away in Buffalo until he has a nmc and forces his way out that’ll be that.

Kakko is in his second year and has not done much of anything. I get he is young but Eichel as a 2nd overall clearly is better than Kakko at 2nd overall. Eichel for 5 years with Panarin will bring NY a cup if they can add better depth pieces. You're crazy to not want to give up at least 2 top prospects for an elite center. And with the draft picks, this years draft and next years draft are not very good so that should not hold back a trade

How can the Rangers "add better depth pieces" if they trade away their next two first rounders after giving you two of their top 4 prospects plus a potential #1 goalie?

That's at least Kakko or Miller or two draft picks too much.

Fine take out a 1st round pick. Delusional to think Eichel is not worth 2/4 top prospects. Elite center and will immediately make Rangers better

I'm not the one who said Eichel isn't worth two out of four top prospects. I'm the one who said Eichel isn't worth two out of four top prospects AND two first-round picks. Tp put it another way, I'm the one who said he's worth three of those four elements, not all of them.

I'm aware that Eichel is an elite center and would automatically make the Rangers better. But keep in mind that that's not their object; they're trying to win a Stanley Cup or two.

Again you are just looking at goals and assists and not play driving. This years top 8 prospects are still very good pieces to have (power, Hughes, beniers, Johnson, eklund, edvinsson, Clarke, and lambos) while next year is supposed to be the best in recent history (Wright, savoie, lambert) are all supposed to be franchise changers.

Meanwhile, Miller is already a top 4 defenseman when ppl said he would need a year, and with how dynamic of a skill set and how big he is at 6’5” he has the raw tools to be a top pairing defenseman.

I get asking for the moon and stars but like I said Buffalo will end up with a return much less than posts here show. Simply because the rangers have built a top pipeline in the nhl and probably have the best group 23 and under. LA and Ottawa are the only ones in the same realm.

Fox
Lafreniere
Kakko
Miller
Lundkvist
Chytil
Kravtsov
Schneider
Barron
Etc.

If rangers let Lundkvist, Barron, kravtsov and a roster player like Zibanejad, buchnevich, Strome plus a top pick in this years draft I just don’t see any other team beating that. It’s all gonna come down to if eichel forces a trade, once his nmc kicks in he’s going to have a lot more say in where he goes and it’ll lessen the amount Buffalo will get back
