Well honestly I think you are under valuing what he brings. And what Buffalo will command or him. He's not going for that little.

i think I might be a little low just because I think the Sabres are in a really bad spot. Maybe swap out Marat with Boldy, But I don't think I am that far off. I get the Sabres don't have to trade him, but they are likely getting rid of Hall and maybe Staal at the deadline. The team is on pace to finish last in the East (granted its a brutal division). Once his No movement kicks in they are more limited in where they could trade him so if they are going to trade him, the offseason would be the time to do it. I think Buffalo is going to want roster players and high end prospects with about two draft picks. I still rank the best odds at Eichel as Rangers, Bruins, Wild, Kraken, Kings. I just don't think you are getting a Lindros style return, not in the era of Covid, and certainly not in a salary cap era.
