Devils go for it Might be giving too much though
Holtz looks like he is going to be a good player. Haula is mostly for the money to work. I didnt know if SJ should give the carolina 3rd or their own 2nd. Meier's contract is up at the end of the season. He is an RFA, but I think San Jose is thinking rebuild. Holtz is high draft pick and looks like he could be a productive goal scorer in the NHL.

Bolts and Wings pre seattle trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dutchies</b></div><div>I say take out the first and this is a done deal. TB needs to shed cap, and if Seattle doesn't take Johnson, they're in rough shape. TB gets a good replacement for Cernak and a younger cheaper option for CIrelli. This is a good offer with the tweak.</div></div>
Yea, I still think Detroit would need to throw in the Caps First just because its value for Cirelli. There is no way that Seattle is going to just pick johnson without extras. There are so many great options for Seattle to take from Tampa. That is why I think they would want to move Cernak to avoid losing him for nothing. I think Detroit gains a great Defensemen in Cernak and I think this would make them semi competitive next season. I know Seider is a Right Defensemen but Cernaks size and ability would just strengthen the Redwings so much and I honestly think there is room for both of them.

Might not be quite enough from Detroit specially to get Cirelli, But I can't see Tampa letting Cernak get taken for nothing by Seattle.

I agree. I know Jackets want a Power Forward. It would have to be a sign and trade, not sure if Laine would want to be in Detroit, but I think The Redwings could be great in 3ish years. Dunno, felt like throwing something at the wall XD

If I am the Sabres, id avoid draft picks. They literally have the least amount of scouts and are just so bad at drafting. Trade for prospects or fold because this is a new level of sad

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GucciGucci</b></div><div>Wont say its unmovable. Maybe at 50 percent retained it can be movable</div></div>
Thats gunna cost Buffalo 3.5 Million against the cap for 7 years just to not have a player. I don't think thats the move because on top of still paying 3.5 million you are still going to have to pay a brutal cost to get a team to even take the other 3.5.

the Skinner contract is unmovable. The term is the dagger. Sabres can't retain any amount of that for that length of time, Gm's don't want to spend money during covid so its shaping up to be a buyers market. Eriksson contract is almost done anyways. That Skinner contract is going to haunt the Sabres worse than almost any contract ever.

Hållander is a solid prospect. With Hall having the season that he is, i think it hurts his value. Who else is going to offer more? Buffalo needs to get some type of return for him. I might be willing to throw in SDA too. Its hard to judge what other teams are willing to offer.
also the going all in is more so reference to the Leafs trading assets for a one year rental.

Eichel to Wild structured off of NBC sports trade comps
i think the structure of Dumba, Rask, a 1st, and a 2nd is correct. Although the other piece is going to have to be pretty large. I think its gotta be Boldy. I don't think the Wild would be willing to lose Greenway, and Ek is also a tough sell. I would say its gotta be Boldy and maybe another prospect. I still think the Rangers could offer more for Eichel though.

What I honestly think Sabres get for Eichel
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hitagi_Senpai</b></div><div>Well honestly I think you are under valuing what he brings. And what Buffalo will command or him. He's not going for that little.</div></div>
i think I might be a little low just because I think the Sabres are in a really bad spot. Maybe swap out Marat with Boldy, But I don't think I am that far off. I get the Sabres don't have to trade him, but they are likely getting rid of Hall and maybe Staal at the deadline. The team is on pace to finish last in the East (granted its a brutal division). Once his No movement kicks in they are more limited in where they could trade him so if they are going to trade him, the offseason would be the time to do it. I think Buffalo is going to want roster players and high end prospects with about two draft picks. I still rank the best odds at Eichel as Rangers, Bruins, Wild, Kraken, Kings. I just don't think you are getting a Lindros style return, not in the era of Covid, and certainly not in a salary cap era.

Eichel to bruins
What the Sabres want for Eichel vs what they are likely to get for him are vastly different. If they traded him a year ago they would likely have gotten much more, but now everyone is very cash strapped, Buffalo is in a very bad spot and I think the teams in the running for him are not willing to overpay for him. Pasta is a no go for sure! I don't think Buffalo wants to load up on draft picks. I think there will likely be two draft picks involved with the trade, but I think they are looking for young/mid career talented roster players.

Trade Eichel to a team that needs him
I could see the Wild making a play for him and I think a 1st and Dumba would be part of the deal. I just don't think they would trade Rossi. Maybe a guy like Greenway and a prospect rather than Rask and Rossi, but I think Eichels stock has fallen and with the situation in Buffalo turning really ugly. I think the return for a guy like Eichel would still be high, but nothing overboard like some people are assuming.

My Attempt at Eichel to Rangers
So First things first, I think there are still moving pieces to this before it happens, but based on right now this is what I came up with. So as far as Structure. I think it will take a goalie, and top level young defensemen, a solid forward prospect, and a solid forward roster player along with a pick. Buffalo will be losing the best player so they need to stock up on solid proven players. If the Rangers want Eichel I think this is the huge price they will likely have to pay.

Habs pay heavy for PLD
Seems the Habs are very interested in bringing in PLD. If they want him this seems like what they would need to give the Jackets. Caufield looks like he could be a goal scoring machine at the NHL level so this could be risky and an overpayment, but if they wanted the Jackets to agree to trade PLD I think this is what they will have to play.
