Eichel plus

Description
I know it seems like a lot and values might be a bit over rated but I tried doing my best gm rendition of everything working out. 2 trades last deadline, 2 trades this offseason and the expansion taking.

Only trade that likely wouldn’t happen is the Florida trade bc I doubt they both waive.

Knights- last deadline going for a push strome for Stephenson Alittle more value from strome and gauthier and PDG plus the little value adds to brisson and reaves is the cap dump here to make things even.

Zib trade- Colorado sending it with their team gey Zib for playoffs and next year. Plus Georgiev and blackwells cheap contract while Colorado send a a couple of prospects and kadri plus a goalie in francouz back. 1st might be high but also put in a 3rd from our side but if it need to be a 2nd and lower our pick I wouldn’t be mad. Side note connect the Barron brothers.

Don’t get to hype up on these trades bc it’s highly unlikely that these moves would happen

That makes zero sense, if COL is giving up that package I would find a way to fit Eichel because no way COL does that for Zibs, no way no how.

Look it wouldn’t Lilly include the first but it’s more than just Zib involved it’s Blackwell on a dirty cheap contract and Georgiev as well plus a 3rd. It was more Zib for kadri, newhook and Barron but that’s likely a bit too rich ( kinda just wanted to bring in Barron to be with his brother)

Bro Blackwell has zero value, so you are saying Zib is Newhook, Barron and a 1st better than Kadri. That’s not remotely realistic. Byram and Newhook have as much value to the Avs as anybody not named MacKinnon or Makar not only because of their talent but because of their contracts. And guys like Barron and Helleson aren’t to far behind because if the Avs have designs on long term success those guys are invaluable as expected guys to play in the top 4 and top 6. It’s the same reason I don’t think the Rangers should part with Lafrienere, Kakko or Fox under any circumstances.

The Eichel trade is painful, but as Rangers fan, I think I'd do it. I would rather see Strome to Buffalo instead of Chytil. But I am not sure about Mika for Kadri deal. It seems like a pretty big step down with a bunch of parts attached. If we traded Mika+, we should get MacKinnon.

Ummm...nope, not even close to getting MacKinnon. The Avs would decline the trade as it stands in less than a heartbeat.

I expected that but was trying to make a point that we would be overpaying for Kadri in the original trade offer. Obviously MacKinnon is untouchable, as he should be.

Hell of an overpay from the Avs you mean. Top two prospects in their organisation (I don't include Byram as a prospect any more as he's been playing regular minutes in the NHL), a depth veteran PK'er, a solid #1B Goalie when fit (injured atm but that happens), a solid #2C, and a late first. The step up to Zib from Kadri isn't that big especially as Zib would be the #2C behind MacK. Georgiev is a solid future #2 or #1B, only difference between him and Francouz is age, so again not all that big of a gain, an AHL'er who'd probably struggle to get near the Avs, and a third.
