Doesn’t cost Lavoie to dump Neal, and Rakell isn’t worth a first. He’s not playing near as good as last year.

Neal is horrible. The only thing he brings is PP offence.

Better than nothing. We are not giving a good prospect in Lavoie for people to take Neal. That’s way too much to give.

That's fine. I'm just having a bit of an overreaction today to the Ducks losing every game by a goal.

If I were Edmonton, I'd have no problem using Lavoie to clear Neal (To whomever) this offseason, to then use that space to find a useful player.

This off-season I would like to try and get Seattle to take Neal. Jones and something else may do the trick! Lavoie is just too good to give him away like that. And yah, it sucks losing, but you guys are rebuilding, so you will have to expect losing a lot. Just wait a few year, and you guys should be a decent team. If I was the Ducks GM I would just slowly get better from free agency, or sign a guy, and trade him for picks/prospects/young roster players.

I'm just a bit worried that ownership is starting to feel the impact of Covid, and are going to try to tighten the old pocketbook up, which is a bad sign for the next 2-3 years.

They won’t... you guys just need to be patient in this rebuild, and then you will be okay. With Steel, Zegras, Mahura, Drysdale etc, that’s not bad prospects! A good elite forward, or left handed defence man would be really good for you guys to target this year. Dylan Guenther may be someone that may fit here if you get the 5-10 pick range.

Yeah, my negativity today isn't how I normally look at the team. I'm an East coaster who stayed up too late once again watching my beloved Ducks.

I'm hoping for Guenther or Eklund in the draft tbh. I'd actually be quite content to keep Rakell, since resigning him shouldn't be overly expensive or that big of a hassle. Silf is the main guy I'd like to see moved.

Maybe keep Silfverberg for a year or two, draft Guenther. When Guenther is ready to take Silfverbergs place then you trade him for a young left handed defence prospect, or a young left wing prospect or roster player. You guys just need to be positive and look to the future. You will be a good team some day.

He's outscoring all but three of your forwards, and nobody puts him in their class.
