Bean's better than that. Overall, pretty good. I'd just notch up Bean

Mcavoy clear cut number 2. Tkachuk right behind him. Laine and PLD down down down.

He's got a case for number 2, but defiantly not "clear cut". Personally I'd put PLD and Liane over him but that may be my jets bias.

It’s getting close to the point where it’s hard to make an argument against him being the best RD in the league. You don’t take Laine and PLD ahead of that. Laine is a wildly inconsistent one dimensional player who’s never had a point per game season, and relies heavily on the PP. PLD is, well, we know what he is.

LOL He's borderline top 5 right d in the league.

Makar (this one isn't even debatable)
Carlson
Petro (these 2 are somewhat debatable, but still pretty easily these guys over Macavoy)
Jones
Hamilton
Heiskanen (toss up between them and Macavoy in my opinion)
Brodie... just kidding. I'm not that biased.

Yikes. Makar is the only one i see a case for. I haven’t seen the all around game from him yet. McAvoy is just by far and away the bruins best player. None of the guys you’ve listed can add best on team to their resume.
Carlson is kind of turning into an offensive specialist. Lots of holes in his game. Petro, a couple years ago sure. I’m seeing a decline though. Jones is having a HORRID season. Prior to this year i think he would be in the discussion for teh top spot, but he’s just been bad this year. Hamilton pukes on himself every time there’s a remotely important game. He’s soft. He’s one dimensional. Watch a playoff game with the canes. Puck gets dumped in his corner every chance. I just don’t even think Heiskanen is worth addressing in this conversation, though he is a heck of a player.

In terms of an all around, all situation number one RD, I think it’s tough to find an argument against McAvoy, though I think Makar could definitely take a big jump if he rounds out his game a bit.

What? Macavoy is not the best on his team. Pasta and Marchand>Macavoy.

Nah man. It isn’t close. McAvoy is their best, and most important player by a country mile. If Marchand is out for a playoff series, it’s tough, but it’s still a damn good team. If McAvoy is out for a playoff series, I’m not even going to watch. It’s over already.

Ok, whatever you say. I think you are overvaluing Macavoy.

Also, if Macavoy is the best on his team, so are Carlson and Pietro.

First off, it’s McAvoy.
Secondly, no. Carlson has massive gaping holes in his game, which cracks open the door for ovechkin lapping him for best cap player a few times over.
Is Petro the best d man on his team? Why not, lets say he is. Mark Stone is a super hero.
