While I agree that there is too much "stuff" in this trade, does Arvidsson's play as of late really warrant that great of a return? Even with his contract

He is a decent winger and could play on any top pairing line in the NHL he's fast has a great shot and is a solid physical player he is an all round great asset

It's quality, not quantity

Not if the team is rebuilding

He's a player capable of scoring 40 goals in his prime with term and they pay rate of a low 2nd line winger/high 3rd line winger. He hasn't played great this year but nobody on that Nashville offense has. He's also historically had great underlying numbers at 5v5. Meanwhile, the return is all low end roster players, a late 1st and a okayish prospect in Noel, although it looks like he probably won't be an NHL player.

Don't be a douchebag

Nowhere is it out that Nashville said this. Elliotte Friedmann said it. Completely different I know who he is and his credibility but Nashville has not publicly said it.

I’m sure Nashville would find a better offer with less players who have more upside than this offer.
