1st rounder and Fast is a bit much for Rakell.

multiple problems. 1. why would we trade fast and we just signed him. 2. ponomarev is a very good B+ or A- prospect so no. 3. Rakell right now would be lucky to fetch anything more than a 3rd and a B- C+ prospect.

Oh c’mon. Of course Rakell is worth more than a 3rd and prospect. The OP’s proposal is off in value, sure, he’s not worth that much, but to say he’s only worth what a rental would bring is absurd.

A 2nd morgan geekie and someone like maybe paquette could work. a 2nd is fair value geekie is a good prospect who as proven to be alright at the nhl level and paquette just to make the roster even out
