Pittsburgh doesn't have the cap for Fleury's full contact. Also, Lehner has been injured and bad so far this season. This also this complicates who the Knights protect up front in expansion.

First two parts are correct

They aren’t involved in the expansion draft. So that’s not an issue.

They won’t trade Fluery aT this point.

The Kessel trade is an interesting thought. Depending on Pietrangelo, if he is suppose to miss 4-6 weeks, they may move him to LTIR and then they would have the room.

It’s because they are the one off. But that may help them. They should be looking at guys likeKessel, on teams that will have problems with the expansion draft protection. I keep looking at Pavelski if Dallas falls out of the race before the deadline.

Knows DeBoers system and has one more year left after this season so protection could be an issue for Dallas
