Before everyone freaks out on me, I understand that it’s unlikely Buffalo would ever send eichel to Boston without asking for one of McAvoy or pastrnak in return. I also understand that there’s teams outside the division who could probably offer a better package. I saw a report today that buffalo’s asking price would include at least 4 first round picks/players who were picked in the first round. I feel that this is a realistic offer that Boston could put on the table – probably not get accepted, but *IF* it did here’s what it could look like

No, I wouldn't. Franchise D > Franchise F. Dmen are really rare unlike F. Don't want Matthews either, especially at $11M+

Sabres decline. Boston just doesn't have parts to compete with other teams for Eichel. Other teams may offer better futures packages than Boston.

What about mcavoy in a package for Matthews

The only centers in this league they would trade McAvoy for is McDavid and Mackinnon. Now obviously those are trades that would never happen but I don’t think you understand how good McAvoy is. Every draft will produce at least one 1C. Franchise #1 RHD are way more uncommon.

The trade for Eichel starts with Mcavoy and that's a no go for Boston and for Boston the trade starts without Mcavoy and for Buffalo, that's a no go. I don't see Eichel coming to Boston.
