Wings will want more. We are taking 2 bad contracts in a flat cap and giving up 2 assets. We can get a 3rd for both bernier and LGD separate without taking back extra year deals. Edmonton is going to have to pay more for us to even trade both players let alone take back 2 contracts that do not expire this year

Keep in mind kosk has a very affordable buyout if choose to move on from him which isn’t ideal but might be best option since it appears there is a lack of confidence from coaching staff to play him which is absolutely mind boggling to me he’s good when play him appropriately but over worked early in the year then seems to have been benched without getting same opportunity to bounce back from a rough performance like smith seems to get.

I’m sure Detroit would be open to taking on cap & cash but they’d need to be incentivized. Next year Turris is due 2.2M and Koskinen is due 4.5M while having less of a cap hit due to a backloaded contract of Turris. Glendening and Bernier will fetch a third each at the TDL so there’s no incentive for Detroit to make the deal. What futures would Edmonton be willing to add on top?

We do have a few prospects that might fit your mold & timeline, but you have to keep an open mind for em. I'll explain.

been knocking on the door for 2 years but no space as a top 6 fwd.
High-ish end prospect.
This will eliminate the need for picks to DET in my opinion
add maybe a 4th/5th back to edmonton.
