If I'm seattle and TB isn't coughing up a 1st, I'm taking Maroon.

I was thinking they take Maroon, Goodie, or one of the D.

I literally just watched that vid. Brian Lawt turned down the trade. Connor Timmins is an AHL defenseman, I'm offering more than what he's worth.

He’s a young fringe NHL’er, he’s worth more than a 3rd and a 4th no question. We could also maybe get Kaut instead, both better than this.

Timmins has played 19 NHL games on a great team and he has zero points. An AHL'er and a 5th is not better than a 3rd and 4th. If DAL wants depth/fringe they could pick up a UFA for league min.

Besides, it looks like you missed the part where I state it's expansion mitigation. It sounds like you think this would be a TDL deal, which may also occur, but then COL would flip him before the expansion anyway because they'd want to recoup and they don't want the risk of 2 more years on Dobby's contract.

Seattle has Allen and Vanecek as options, they’ll take Dickinson or Oleksiak it’s kind of obvious. Also I can send you links of more trades for Dobby that has higher value than this.

That's two goalies, SEA's going to select three, and Dobby is better than both of them. If DAL doesn't move him to a team that can protect him he's as good as gone... for free.

I asked you for a better trade, but you referred me to a worse trade. Keep it to SJ. What do you suggest?

So you went from a garbage AHL'er and a 5th to a late 1st? Way to remove yourself from a serious conversation.

I just picked the first I saw. You aren't one to talk, you offered a 3rd and a 4th.

And then gave you plenty of room to give a reasonable counteroffer, you didn't.

I also asked you for your counteroffer, not someone else's, but you failed. Which is sad, because I was hoping to engage with you in a lightheartedly serious fantasy negotiation.

He isn’t a fit with this team, he could go for a late 1st on a team that wants him, your 1st will be in the early round. Colorado is more of a fit than San Jose, if you want him so badly pay up, if it’s too much to pay for then move on with your day. If no one’s interested then a 2nd will be fine.

Who are you to say he isn't a fit in SJ?
    Let's break it down...
-SJ needs a #1, Dobby would be a #2 in COL.
-Dobby is close friends with Evgeni Nabokov, SJ's goalie coach.
-SJ has a young prospect goalie whom Dobby could mentor

Your take is a fail take. Good luck

Isn’t a fit in trade talks, never said he wasn’t a fit in San Jose, I said that Colorado has assets to get him you don’t. You don’t have interesting prospect like they do and your picks are early and not late like theirs, which make them less accessible. Trades in the NHL are for value not to help the other team out.
