My expectation is that unless Galchenyuk plays significantly better than he has been the last two years the Leafs will not resign unless it is at or near league min. I think they view next year as Nick Robertson's time to shine in that 2nd or 3rd LW role.
Be great to have Reimer again but I doubt it. And not for that term. He is a good platoon goalie but he is 33 now, I think $3.65M until he is 37 is a bit steep.
Montour will likely take a discount deal since no one will be offereing him money after this year. McCabe and Ullmark are the only bright spots on that team other than maybe Eichel, Rienhart and Olofsson.
I think the key for Toronto the next couple seasons (while the cap is flat) is to shore up goaltending (cheap) and be a market where players sign cheaper 1 yr deals to raise their value. We know players do it. They could use another veteran shutdown/all round RD but they have good prospects on defense and forward coming. Don't be too eager to use the cap space. Get goaltending in the offseason.
