My take on the Canucks going into the 2017-18 season. I do think that whoever they draft will have a longshot of making the team but I threw a guy I would pick at around the 5-7 spot. I like the forwards going ahead, I think Brock Boeser will be a big addition and if they can land a good Forward Prospect like Eeli things could look up. Probably wondering why Burrows? At 2 Million the guy can still play key role on PK and good with the younger players. The lines I have set up doesn't mean that's exactly what they should be, sometimes a 3rd line can play more than the second.

Defense: Feel like they have to sign Gudbranson since they traded for him, not sure if the deal is realistic, kind of based it off Sbisa deal. Can Olli make the team? Where does Virtanen go? Can you send him off to Arizona for Duclair?

I like Keith Kinkaid but cant see Devils not wanting this guy back, he would be a great backup.

      Where is Gaunce?
Can Juolevi make the jump straight to top 4?
      Is Demko not ready?
Sbisa seems to be a hit with the youngsters, should Van protect him and trade one of Gudbranson, Edler, or Tanev for assets?
Does Subban really have a future in Van with all the young Defense prospects ahead of him?

I think your next years roster is fairly accurate "overall", but I'm sure there will be some differences.

Yeah tough one with Gaunce, I don't see a future for a guy who doesn't really score?
Olli could be a tough one to make the roster, I put him on there just because I really want him on the team lol.
Demko won't backup Markstrom, your better off playing a ton of games at the AHL level, that's why Markstrom is there for another 3.
I'd like to see Gud or Edler moved but just can't see Benning doing it, they were so high on him. We could use a PP quarterback but we need to develop Stetcher, Hutton and Olli into that Hopefully.

Glad we seemed to agree on the team somewhat. Thanks.

I think this is a great, realistic view of the what the team will be. I'm leaning more towards Casey Mittelstadt if we draft 6-9 spot. Offensive centre with decent size. I would keep Olli and Jake in the A next year with gaudette, etc so Utica can have some talent and start winning.

I also like Casey Mittelstadt, seems like more of a Jim Benning guy to. A lot of these smaller forwards (Mitch Marner) look really good out there to.

Eeli Tolvanen: "The Finnish winger is a pure sniper -- with an NHL shot and NHL release -- who has the tools to be the best pure scorer in this draft.

Wow, congrats, you made a team that is exactly like this years team except you plugged a couple of rookies into the lineup who may or may not make the team. That must have taken a lot of hard thought and creativity to come up with the exact team they have now... except Tolvanen won't be in the NHL next year. Somehow Subban makes this team, and you bring back Burrows for 2 Million per????? This is just a worse version of the team on the ice tonight. Good job making them better, you've really figured out what the point of the armchair gm is. Why even make this team?

Ha Ha this guy is funny, go have a look at some of his teams. Its Armchair GM, Not Fantasy GM bud. There not spending in FA, there not making Magical Offer sheets as there not looking to trade away picks as per Benning has said multiple times this year. And you do realize the team will get worse as they get younger and transition players into the line. I know you really want to have all these Fantasy trades and Dreams come true but none of that stuff will happen. I totally agree that Olli and whoever they draft is a longshot to make the Roster as I STATED ABOVE. So to get to the point I can make a Magical Team if you want to with Offer Sheets and Trades to Toronto for Markstrom like your posts, ill stick to reality though. rock on
