Panik is brutal and has a bad contract. Merkley is a low risk option.

I'm not sure how much St. Louis wants to trade them tbh. They are one of those bubble teams that will either be in or out of the playoffs this season. Their fans seem divided on this and this makes the team highly unpredictable.

All I know is that they definitely don't want a lot of long-term cap going back their way so I'm not sure how the Pens could trade for them without getting rid of a big salary to another team beforehand to free up space. I don't want to see Pettersson traded just to clear up space.

For Blais, I'm thinking maybe Riikola and a 4th/5th? I'm not too sure about Barbashev.

I don't want to see pettersson be a cap dump either i want them to get something good for him. I would really like him to be included in a trade for those two players but like you said i know they don't want a big cap hit coming back. i really would like those players on the pens and then claim merkley

I’d rather them claim Merkley and Frk. I wouldn’t make any Pánik moves just because of two bad games.

God, just take my like. But I am a little Pániky tbh because even you have to admit the goaltending tandem is quite unproven. But there is nothing that can really be done about it now.
