These trades don’t make Carolina any better. In fact you could maybe argue they make them worse, especially Derek Ryan

Murray would be a great fit if he was right handed, more physical, and could be trusted to stay healthy.

I think Kulikov would be a better fit. Cheaper better (this year)

The Canes, in my opinion, need depth badly they are a smaller younger team without much veteran presence, Ryan is small but a scrappy useful 4th liner, and Ryan is needed bigger d-man while Fleury is an odd man out minuets wise
