Description

Just curious on your price tags for Haydn Fleury and Jake Bean (UPDATE: nevermind on Jake Bean, I didn't realize he made the leap he was hyped to make, so he'll get protected). Carolina is currently on pace to lose one of these two defencemen at the expansion draft for nothing. I acknowledge that the Hurricanes are pushing for the cup (which means you're generally aren't going to be interested in selling), but Jake Gardiner is also returning from injury very shortly. He would be your starting D replacement, as opposed to one from New York. So would you be willing to look at draft capital or a cost-friendly forward?

Bean will be protected in expansion, for Fleury they would probably want a none defense on an ELC or pick if I had to guess. Similar value to a late 1st ofc

Bean- We're just not trading Bean so don't bother.

Fleury- I'm personally sick of him. He gets to much ice time and often makes careless mistakes. He's just not good enough. I'd just like to seen him go to another team. It's best for everyone. In terms of picks, I'd expect a 4th. In terms of a player, would you do Blackwell?

Under normal circumstances I would say yes to Blackwell, but he's slated with Rooney to be our two exposed forwards that meet the expansion criteria. I don't see the Rangers moving him at the deadline.

There was so much hype surrounding him coming into this season with his great playoff performance, but he's blew it.
