This trade would only be possible if the sabers CAN NOT resign Ullmark and Anderson will not return for the rest of the season. Toronto would get a starting goalie in ullmark, a backup RD in colin miller for the playoffs , and Taylor hall for a top six rental. Buffalo would get a first round pick (other picks are less valuable to the sabers due to their understaffed scouting department), a depth forward in engvall to play on the roster, a defenseman with possible upside in dermott. They would receive two prospects in Liljegren and Hallander. and anderson for cap reasons. Trade is unlikely to happen but i could see it working if the sabers have no choice but to trade these players.

Ulmark is good, but no point. Freddy will be back in the playoffs, and is fully capable of stepping in if Soupy gets injured.

Too much from Toronto.
Ullmark would be of interest to the leafs, and maybe hall but definitely too much.
Also I think Toronto keeps Andersen for the ltir relief , hope he's healthy for playoffs and has his A game if needed.

as a Sabre fan - Hall (50% retained) for Hallander and a first would be great, but why would Toronto do that? With the Leafs current Cap situation (even after trading for Nash to stash him on LTIR), the Leafs would probably need to move a contract out to make it work (Kerfoot's the easiest to have this work with).

As for Ullmark - I can't see the Sabres dealing him, they may not win another game this season if they do (not that it matters). I think he gets an extension in the next 24-36 hours. Because after him... the cupboard for goalies is not good and UPL is at least 1, maybe 2 seasons away.
