Description
Both NYI & ANA are in trouble for the expansion draft.

Trading Strome for the expansion-exempt Andersson helps NYI here, especially if they end up losing Pulock or one of their other Dmen to expansion.

ANA risks losing Silfverberg, Rakell or one of their D to expansion, so they cash in on Silfverberg while they can. Brouwer will help them in the playoffs and they can hope he is claimed by Vegas in expansion over one of their younger players.

In two moves BT shores up the RW depth, much like he did with the D depth at the 2014 draft. If the value is off in these trades, picks could be added on either side.

MIN picks up Bouma as depth and grit for what they hope is a long playoff run.

BOS picks up Engelland to help with their abysmal D depth and in hopes of making a playoff push.

These two moves may seem minor but they are equally as important as they are addition by subtraction, and although BT retains some salary in each deal, it still leaves sufficient cap space for the other two acquisitions.

In expansion, Calgary Protects Gaudreau, Monahan, Frolik, Backlund, Strome, Bennett, Silfverberg, Hamilton, Giordano, Brodie and either Johnson or Elliott.

I don't know if the Isles or Ducks are in trouble, cause every team is going go lose one player. Since the Leafs can logically protect 5 Dmen, I think they could move a better package to Isles and/or Ducks for their "4" Dman.
Your trade has them losing Strome and one of Hamonic or Poluck and only getting Andersen in return. Just think their might be better deals for the Isles.

You might be right, I just targeted Strome because I know the NYI have expansion issues and I don't think they are very high on Strome right now as he has had a rough start to the season and been a healthy scratch a few times. Anderrson has also had a very good first pro season so far and would be valuable in a trade IMO. Maybe the Flames add a pick.
