I see Hanzal being a good fit, and almost surely will be made available, but could draw some serious interest and therefore the above may not make it work!

I agree. I don't think a retiring D man and a pick is enough.

I figured a 2nd rd. pick straight up would work for a UFA at seasons end but added Schultz to make the cap work. Maybe the Flyers sweeten it with a 4th but if someone else are buying big and going all in then the Flyers probably pass.

Yeah that's pretty good too. The point of this trade though was to push for a wild card. I like your trade, but I think we need a RHD to even things out a bit.

Ya but Martinez currently plays RD so at least he is used to it.

Too early to trade Carter Hart. Don't think return is enough at this time. Sit Cousins in the press box.

Trade Lyon instead. Cousins should play as much as possible so that he might have some trade value plus he is young and needs ice time to improve.

I don't see Ron Hextall (a GM who believes in bringing guys through the system) trading Carter Hart (probably the best chance of a franchise goalie this team has had in 20 years) from the Flyers (a team historically notorious for having bad goaltending).
