These are bad trades for the Hawks. Holtby is a terrible goalie and a cap dump. So the solution is help VAN get a better backup with a $3.5M less cap hit for a scraps? It'll take the 2021 2nd at a minimum. As for the NJD trade....we had Q. He didn't work out for us. Stan only brings back players that did actually work out as a Hawks in some capacity. He doesn't bring back guys that never worked out. NJD will need to send better picks IMO.

Seattle might take Nylander, but it's doubtful. True, Seattle has picks to waste...aka...they can afford a few high risk high reward players, but besides Nylander's draft status 5 years ago...what has he done to warrant being picked?

Holtby has been terrible after the Capitals cup in in 2018. I don't see him getting dealt by any means. John Quenneville is still with the Blackhawks that's probably a cousin of his. Yeah Zadorov probably has higher value than what this trade shows. Seattle would rather have De Hann over Nylander at this point. Could I see Nylander as a player used as incentive to pick De Hann, Sure, I think the Kraken pick De Hann anyway.
