Matthews is better than Drais. Drais benefits from playing with McDavid. Yes, Matthews's plays with Marner, who is a top 5 winger in the league, but nonetheless McDavid is the clearcut best player in the whole league. Also, Draisitl is poor defensively. While this is not a huge deal, Matthews has almost as many points, is younger, has more goals, etc. It's a close debate, but I would say Matthews. That said, I understand why people think Drais is better.
As for Matthews vs. Mackinnon, there's an argument to be made Matthews is already better than Mackinnon. They are basically the same in terms of point production this season. With Matthews being over 2 years younger, it would be logical to assume he is going to be the better player down the line.

Ovechkin, Nurse, and Kane are not top 4 players in their positions

Whoa whoa whoa..... I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but Michell Marner is not a top 5 winger. Patrick Kane, Mark Stone, Nikita Kucherov, David Pastrnak, and Artemi Panarin are all better than he is. Draisaitl isn’t poor defensively, he is very average, however, he is very good on the PP, and PK. Let me ask you this. Who does Matthews play with every game?? It’s Michell Marner. Who does Draisaitl play with nearly every game?? Kailer Yamamoto. Huge difference. He only just started to play alongside McDavid, mainly because they fit so well together! Draisaitl has played 90% of the season on the second line, but McDavid needs a left winger, so Tippett decided to stuff Draisaitl back up where he knows he can play well. Matthews isn’t already better than MacKinnon, and he never will be. MacKinnon is better in all areas of the ice. The only thing Matthews has on MacKinnon is his shot... that is literally the only thing.

Ok, so top 6 winger. My bad.
But, it's a bit hard to gauge whether he's better than Kuch with him out all year. And Kane is aging and by as soon as next year, Marner will likely be better. Give it a year or 2 and he will be a top 5 winger.

Also, Matthews has just as many points as Mack. And he's over 2 years younger. So, it would be reasonable to assume that he'll be better one day, no?
