Matthews is better than Drais. Drais benefits from playing with McDavid. Yes, Matthews's plays with Marner, who is a top 5 winger in the league, but nonetheless McDavid is the clearcut best player in the whole league. Also, Draisitl is poor defensively. While this is not a huge deal, Matthews has almost as many points, is younger, has more goals, etc. It's a close debate, but I would say Matthews. That said, I understand why people think Drais is better.
As for Matthews vs. Mackinnon, there's an argument to be made Matthews is already better than Mackinnon. They are basically the same in terms of point production this season. With Matthews being over 2 years younger, it would be logical to assume he is going to be the better player down the line.
