Description

-Reinhart, Dahlin long-term
-Mittelstadt, Jokiharju, Asplund, Borgen short-term RFAs
-Buyout Eakin and Okposo
-Draft rankings: Power, Hughes, Edvinsson
-Raanta, Sheahan UFAs (open to giving the $ to Ullmark instead, but I think he wants a fresh start elsewhere)

Minimalistic approach to the offseason, leaves us plenty of cap space to make moves in the future. Also hopeful Okposo will just retire to save a little cap $.

This roster should compete for playoffs, but expectations should still be reasonable and held in check. The key focus will still be the continued development of the young core.

It's not an exciting team outlook with wild moves being made.... but throwing the extra $ at UFAs would be foolish, we've all seen where that has led us in the past.

Tokarski has been great, but they can’t have him as the backup next year especially if they sign another injury prone goalie like Raanta.

yeah good point, forgot to sign a backup tendy. Probably would dip into the UFA pool again on a cheap short term deal until 6K is ready

Right now tage carey and Asplund shouldn't be separated.

Still would roll with Eichel, Cozens and Casey down the middle next year. Reinhart can slide in there if there is an injury.

Also you don't buyout either of those players. Spend the extra 200-300k by burying eakins in the minors. And Okposo will be due 4 and 3 million after his buyout is paid, a team trying to hit the floor would like that contract.

No need to double the time those two would be on our books(especially eakins)
