Because of the draft lottery. The older formats only had one winner; in both cases Florida and Edmonton won to push the Sabres back a position.

Like sure, it wasn't their "original pick" but it is a direct consequence of the old, single-winner lottery format.

I think 3 to 7 is pretty interchangeable. All very different players but all stars of about the same calibre.

Yeah looking back it's probably a bit too high. I'd change him to 13 or 14 maybe. What do you think?

Imo I believe that Barzy is better than marner, no Isles bias but he has franchise talent potential he's already shown that.

I think that mitch marner is much better than barzal because marner is a franchise player already and hits 90-100 points every year

If barzal was on a good team with actually really good players like TOR he'd be miles better imo

marner makes his team better tho. does barzal do that? if matthews didnt play with marner would matthews be as good?


EDIT: I dont watch many islanders games so im not entirely sure what barzal does but i do know marny is better
